Reverend Adrian Dean Smith


     Rev. Adrian Dean Smith was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1965 to the late Rev. Joe and Mrs. Dora B. Smith. Rev. Smith is married to Brookye Smith and they have been blessed with two sons, Justin and Logan. Rev. Smith and his wife recently became proud grandparents of a handsome grandson, Link.

     Rev. Smith received Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at the age of twelve. God called Rev. Smith to the ministry on June 6, 1993. In response to his call, he was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1996 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church of Alexandria, Virginia. Rev Smith was ordained to the Ministry in 2002 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Herndon, Virginia where he served eight years as the Minister of Discipleship.


     In October of 2008 Rev. Smith was called to serve as the Assistant Pastor of First Mount Olive Baptist Church of Leesburg, Virginia. Under his leadership, the Christian Education of the church was expanded to include the MasterLife Discipleship Program, and several other biblical studies. After, eight years of faithful service to First Mount Olive Baptist Church, God called Rev. Smith to a new assignment. On April 29, 2017 the Lord elevated Rev. Smith to the office of Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Round Hill, Virginia where the church has adopted the motto “Making Disciples who make a difference in the home, church, and the world.”

     Servant Leader depicts not only his spiritual journey, but his life’s work. Rev. Smith served his country and his community his entire adult life. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army at the rank of sergeant in 1993 and was employed by the United States Postal Service for nineteen years. Currently, Rev. Smith is employed by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff.

     Rev. Smith graduated with honors from Lancaster Bible College with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. Rev. Smith is an avid reader. He enjoys reading books on church planting, pastoring, church leadership, church transformation, and Christian growth. Rev. Smith is passionate about preaching the gospel and helping others to develop a personal, lifelong, obedient, and love relationship with Jesus Christ. His favorite scripture is Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
